Each year on May 19th, Personal Support Worker (PSW) Day is celebrated in Ontario. This day is an important time to honour and show appreciation for their hard work and compassion. OSCR is fortunate to have kind and caring PSWs working with our clients, both on-site and in the community. Their care and dedication allow seniors to live independently and with dignity.
PSW Day was first declared on May 19th, 2010, by the Government of Ontario. The dedication of this day was created as a measure of appreciation for the essential role that PSWs play in Ontario; Many OSCR clients benefit from the care and support of PSWs daily. PSWs provide compassionate assistance, allowing seniors to thrive while aging in place.
On May 19th, please take the time to thank a Personal Support Worker and show your appreciation for all that they do for you or your loved ones. PSWs have dedicated their lives to helping others, and there is nothing more admiral.
PSW Day is a special time to express our gratitude and appreciation for the care and support they provide for our clients. We are grateful for them not only on PSW day, but everyday, and thank our PSWs for everything they do for our clients here at OSCR. We wish all Personal Support Workers a happy PSW Day!
