OSCR is a unique venture in Ontario, serving as a community non-medical health services leader since 1972. OSCR operates as one of the players in the broader health system, and is aligned with Provincial and Ontario Health priorities of access to primary care, better coordination through the system, and evidence-based interventions. This ensures that clients are receiving the right care, at the right time, in the right place. Further, OSCR acts as Property Manager for the Region of Halton/HCHC (Halton Community Housing Corporation).
Clients of OSCR enjoy a wide range of healthy living programs and on-site services that enable them to live their lives to the fullest. We provide supportive housing, supports for daily living, respite and rent-geared-to-income apartments for seniors 65 years and older. OSCR assists hundreds of seniors annually to live as independently as possible.
OSCR is proud to be an award winning not-for-profit organization, having earned a Minister’s Medal honouring excellence in health quality and safety, and a 3M National Health Care Quality Team Award for programs and processes in a Non-Acute Environment.
At OSCR, each of our clients and tenants are treated as individuals, and are encouraged and supported to remain as independent as possible. We honour and respect our clients and tenants and treat them like our own family.
